This sturdy and powerful sweet spot left me feeling like I must have cracked the ball in half. Sliding weight tracks are not a new concept for TaylorMade. The SLDR and R15 feature weight tracks to control left or right shot shapes. The 2016 TaylorMade M1 adds to this concept, introducing another track to control the height of the shot. The front track, which runs parallel to the face, has a 15-gram weight. The M1's are almost exactly the same lofts as the original RBZ irons from 2012 with only the 3 & 4 irons being 1/2 degree weaker. I guess the M1's would be considered game improvement irons while the M2's would be like the super game improvement irons.
